Many auto transporting companies say they cover the entire United States, but not all of them actually do. Some auto transporting companies do not actually ship to Alaska or Hawaii, but at Evergreen Auto Transport, we pride ourselves on being better than those other auto transporting companies. We look to stand out among the thousands of auto transporting companies out there, so we do ship to Alaska and Hawaii, and now, we even ship internationally. Very few auto transporting companies can claim they ship to other countries, but we can. However, shipping internationally or to Alaska or Hawaii is different than most regular auto transport, so read more to find out what exactly you need to do to prepare for your auto transport.

All auto transporting companies have the same rules in regards to shipping to Alaska or Hawaii. For starters, your auto transport to Alaska or Hawaii actually comes in two separate parts, which most auto transporting companies won’t tell you about. All shipments overseas take place at the port, and among auto transporting companies there is only one that ships to Hawaii and one that ships to Alaska. When your vehicle is picked up, it will be picked up by a standard auto transport carrier. Auto transporting companies can pick up from anywhere in the continental United States, by the way, so that’s the easy part. From there, all auto transporting companies shipping to the port will tell you this: if you’re shipping to Hawaii, it’ll go to the port in Long Beach, California, and if you’re shipping to Alaska, it’ll go to the port in Seattle, Washington.

Once your vehicle is at the port, the auto transporting companies that actually own the ships that go across the ocean will take possession of your vehicle. Their ships are on a schedule, so it could be up to ten days before your vehicle secures passage on a ship. These auto transporting companies have safe locations where they store your vehicle, however, so rest assured that your car is in good hands while waiting at the port. Once it’s secure on a ship, however, the rest is easy – it arrives at the port in either Hawaii or Alaska, and then you pick it up there. Make sure to be available when the vehicle is dropped off at the port; don’t let your vehicle wait too long upon delivery.

In regards to shipping within Alaska or Hawaii, there are very few auto transporting companies that operate out of those states – Hawaii is too small and Alaska is too cold for many auto transporting companies, so oftentimes you’ll need to be present at the port. And it goes the same for shipping from Alaska or Hawaii – we can find auto transporting companies to pickup from the port in Long Beach or Seattle and move it anywhere in the continental United States, but we won’t be able to find any auto shipping companies located in Hawaii.

Auto shipping companies that do service Alaska and Hawaii, however, probably don’t have the great discounts we do. We can provide auto transport to Alaska or Hawaii for hundreds cheaper than those other auto shipping companies, so give us a call. We also service Canada and other international auto shipping destinations (call for specific countries), so make Evergreen Auto Transport your choice today.
